This summer has flown by. Probably helped by the constant rain. All my readers will know that the summer of 1315-16 was the beginning of the Great European Famine, in which a significant number of people died. In one month, June 1316, ten percent of the population of Ypres died of famine.
Well, this year’s been pretty much the same. Rain, rain, and more ruddy rain. Except for the delightful Saturday in September, when the Morris sides were invited by Glory of the West, to join in their celebrations. So we did. And the sun shone for them!
